It happened one day,
Unexpected, I was not aware,
A door was opened, a welcoming sight,
Yes, it was you walking into my life.
I delight in your presence
I was at ease right from the start,
We talked and time was forgotten.
Your wit and humour
Lightens up my face
O, they never cease to amaze me,
My day complete whenever it's spent with you
A liberating moment so full of fun.
It dawned on me how you made a difference,
My world was colored a brilliant hue.
You become my confidant, my ego booster,
Surprising, I learned to open up.
From this moment, I want for time to stop
And let this scene seal its magic touch
Ne'er to change, ne'er to vanish,
But time wouldn't allow, nor change wouldn't approve,
Still I hope that come what may
You'll stay around, don't walk away,
A friend to count on
A gem I have found.
I liked this one. Reminds me of the first 6 months of dating, when they can do no wrong...(and you can do no wrong) : )
a gem .....you most certainly are right a friend is a Gem and no matter what the final outcome ....you have pictures in your mind of times you have shared ...as I do I'm sure you will find warmth in your many memories....in a world so cold sometimes pictures are all that we have..... stay safe :o)

Hi! I am just cruisin' in. I saw your site and found a gem LOL. This poem is luuu-vly! Speaks of friendship so grand. I hate to see it put asunder. Hope it will last forever. Remember, it's hard to find real gems these days, cuz mostly you can find stones LOL. Really, I know you know what I mean :). I've got lots of gems myself and it sure give my life the glitters. It's simply beautiful.
