Seasons

In the spring the rain falls

flowers bloom and the world if fair

Thought of happiness and joy abound

And the sound of laughter fills the air.

As the days grow long

And the season turns once again,

I ask of you one thing

Please remember me my friend.

When the summer sun is high

and the days and warm and long,

The star filled skies shine brightly

as we dance and sing our songs.

But even summer's wamth must fade

as our lives continue to spin

So keep the laughter in your heart

and hold me once again.

As autumn days grow short

and leaves chaning from green to gold

And flowers lose their color

as a cool wind begins to blow.

When you find that the warmth is gone

and darkness steals away the day

Cling to memories of me

And together we will stay.

Winter dressed all in white

frost mingling with the falling snow

The warmth slowly fades away

As the darkness continues to grow.

Your face becomes but a memory,

You voice an echo of what once was;

And so another season turns to night,

The light fading from what was our love.
