Gazing through my telescope
I saw two galaxies elope
They merged together beautifully
Twisting and turning elegantly
They danced around a burning sun
Eventually, becoming one
Clouds of dust swirled around
Flashing colours, perfection found
Stars and planets were pulled towards
The centre of a huge dwarf
A burst of light, so intense
Became so bright, then so dense
Now in its place, I could see
A huge black hole spinning furiously
The galaxies now entwined
The marriage blessed, but redefined
From within the giant beast
A star pulsating, born, released
Gathering light that was disbursed
The brilliance of our universe

Well done young man,
very well done, reminds me of the Hindu teachings, the continuous cycle of creation, destruction and rebirth. There is an interesting book by Roger Penrose, ""The Cycles of Time". I also, like Healingwoman, have an affinity for all things related to cosmology. http://www.postpoems.org/authors/9inety/folder/907369
