Remember Me

Male

Remember me when you begin your life's first journey,

Remember me when your future gets too dark to see;

Think of me when everyone else's problems become your own,

And think of me when you're sitting in the dark, afraid and alone.

I remember you when you were nothing but a selfish kid,

I remember you and all the crazy foolish things we did;

I think of you when I look up into a starlit sky,

And when I think of you afraid in the dark, I break down and cry.

You and I, we had it all,

But the passage of time was our great downfall;

Maybe it was fate, maybe it was destiny,

But I hope that somewhere, someday, you'll remember me...

Female

Remember me when you fall once or twice out of the saddle,

Remember me when you're fighting a losing battle;

Think of me when you don't want to deal with the world anymore,

And think of me when your life gets too rough, as it has before.

I remember you when you were taking the bull by the horns,

I remember you and all the times we got tangled in the thorns;

I think of you when the rain beats down across my window,

And when I think of your life getting rough, I hope it isn't so.

You and I enjoyed those glory days,

Until our lives led us on our own separate ways;

Where we're at now wasn't where we wanted to be,

But I hope that somewhere, someday, you'll remember me...

Male

I never told you that you are my everything,

Every time I was around you, you made my heart sing;

I wish I could've told you so long ago that I love you so,

But it seems like we've grown so far apart that you'll never know...

Female

I never told you that you were my best and only friend,

Every time I was around you, I wished it would never end;

I wish I could've told it could've been more than it was,

But time and tides wait for no one, not even the two of us...

Male/Female

I just hope that somewhere, someday, you'll remember me...
