The Serpent

Dress her down in lies

it makes for an extravagant disquise

eyes of a deciever

silver tounged like a snake

"Come my dear,she screamed,

drink of the teet of knowledge,

feed off my apple of betrayal,

I will always be truthful she smiles".

Beg the child to come an play

i will sing to her lullabies

of all the wrong they done,

I am the safe haven,

I am your angel of mercy,

I will save you from these demons lurking not far behind,

A quick call of judgement

a quick sly of hand,

an she says...

"You'll be mine"

Withering away in her garden of lies

I grabbed whold of her and road the back

of the serpent

she smiled and told me

"She'll be fine,

I will make sure she comes back,

When I have plucked away all your sins,

when I have destroyed every ounce of hope you could hold,

I have the power..

you are my pawn.."

the she was gone

left broken with nothing but a grimace

I hold on to the poisoned words she spoke

the apples are rotted

the rusted sun is bitter

I can hear the childs laughter

so far away..

I want to run to her

to save her from her lies

to show her the truth

to give her the life that was hers

to behead the snake

to bury her in her words

I will rise like a pheonix from the ash

and I will destroy her..
