Time

Time is not a healer,

nor a forgiver

We're here one day

gone the next

the cruelty of fate can criple the heart

so we pray for time to make us forget

but the years just add to the emptiness

Noone can rewind, and take another

ride,

it's always to soon to say

good-bye

the smiling faces

the heart felt voices

still ringing so loudly in our ears

young one day

old the next

Created from mud

back to dust

letting go is always a must

the tears roll like rivers

each one holding a story

so close to the heart

I'll never forget you

although we've part

time you didn't have

it was time to take flight

time is not a forgiver

or a giver

but it will one day bring us back together.
