I saw a reflection of what was to be,
a bevy of images staring at me,
deciding which fork in the road I should take,
would be a decision I'd soon have to make.

The road to the right had a mind to embrace,
the path to my left wore a magical face,
a third, veering off, sported heart full of love,
the forth, far behind, boasted all the above.

I looked straight ahead and a vision, unclear,
reached a hand filled with passion from deep in the mirror, 
rebirth of emotion and life came to pass,
as I captured it's fingers and stepped through the glass.

To a place only known from my childhood within,
so, I looked for the cat with mischievous grin,
and a rabbit with watch and a tardiness dread,
with a Queen of Hearts screaming, "Off with her head!"

Or, a Hatter gone mad to invite me for tea,
and the infamous pair—Tweedle-Dum, Tweedle-Dee.
but the search was in vain, and to much my surprise,
a reflection of you stood in front of my eyes;

The man I'd pretended through most of my years-
that make-believe person was suddenly here!
in an image made vivid--called Fate was my guess,
'twas the chance of a lifetime come true, nonetheless.

So I sipped from that bottle of “Drink Me” and knew,
that a life was worth living, but only with you,
and here we are going through life, hand in hand,
convinced, that ‘ This ‘ Alice has found Wonderland.
