Peddling fast to tempt all others
Gymnasts weave graceful webs
Appeals go out to those who ebb
Jumpers jump as high as you can
Leap into the air so high and long
Triples jump and pole-vaulters too
Lets show the world what you do
Tennis and badminton bats a ready
Time to keep your emotions steady
Hockey and football boots on tight
Its time to come out and get it right
Boxers and wrestlers and judo too
Show the people what you can do
Bodies taut and minds held tight
Come on now and start the fight
Olympians have been and gone
Triumphs again they have won
Bodies pushed unto their best
Now it the time to take a rest
Medals won, and dreams realised
Gold, silver and bronze were they
All have fought to win their race
