Open For Love

I lay my soul open for love,
and she is here.
Head upon her lap
in lovers embrace,

where haunting melodies
play from a distance.
I embrace her, both
body and mind.

She is virginal to me,
a perfect flower not
ever to be crushed.

I open my thoughts
to love, and its
purring gestures.

Heart upon her
lap, she is stroking
my hair so
lightly, strange

emotions gathering
from inside
my soul.

I am thankful for love,
where underneath her
care I am both
boy and man.

Learning and teaching,
being and becoming.
I lay my soul open for love,
and she is here.
