but Grace and Love and God's word.

It is 'blessed peacemakers'

and not warmongers who to God

move forward.

Did Moses need an army

when God parted the Red Sea?

Did Joshua need anything

but his horn

at the battle of Jericho?

When God multiplied

lamplight oil for the Maccabees

did God need Mideast oil?

Was a fleet of trucks needed

to deliver manna from the sky?

Was DeGaulle protected by

an earthly power

when 93 shots fired

by a crack shot assassin

missed?

Surely Fidel Castro has been protected

by angels from the many soldiers and assassination plots

sent against him.

Was not the chant of millions

singing "Allah Akbar"

enough to bring down

the puppet throne?

The hunger pangs of Ramadan

fasters turn into arrows

which strike the heart of

Allah with mercy.

And the suffering of hundreds of

millions of Hindus.. mobilized

by the heart of Mahatma Gandhi..

did it not give an example to the

world in the power of

nonviolent resistance?

A spokesperson for Doctors Without Borders said this morning
   that a conservative estimate would be hundreds of civilian deaths
   from the bombing.. that anti Western sentiment is growing
   among people who say there are no Taliban nor Al Qaeda in the
   areas being bombed. One 7 year old child was blinded, and lost
   a leg and both arms. Children are being pulled dead out of
   the rubble. Animals are apparently not
   considered worthy of count. Hibernating animals in Afghan
   caves continue to be bombed by the US. The Johnson & Nixon
   Administrations bombed many water buffalo and destroyed Vietnamese
   environment with napalm. Now in our name the ruling junta of the
   US is again doing this.

To tell NPR's Morning Edition that horses are not 'it' but 'he'
