SEUSS REBORN

A lightning bolt from Zeus

ended the life of Theodor Seuss

but now reborn
Seuss is thin, fit, and tanned
for he no longer steals
toxic green eggs from caged chickens
nor consumes
trichinella-wormed pigs
murdered into ham.
He no longer evicts
from their seashells
coprophagous innocent clams.
nor the rejected body parts
 put into Spam.
nor eats adult mammals
nor baby lambs.
