When you said good-bye

It really didn't sink in

And then I started to cry



I really didn't understand

Why you left me so blue

But then I finally realized

There was nothing I could do



Sweet words led to broken promises

Sweet love led to shattered dreams

A relationship that's so good

Is really not what it seems



It really wasn't a mistake

We wanted it to be true

Your once true love was me

But we coulodn't go on my dear
