An Update

My long silence has been due to a hospital stay that ended yesterday---through Christ's blessings.

Several of the nurses told me that I had developed what they called "hospital delirium."  They said it would begin to dissipate, like a failing storm, as soon as I left the site.

I am now in a rehab facility to try to learn how to walk again, but the delirium has dissipated enough that I have a few poems to write---all of which were essentially completed late last night.

Thank you very much,  The

Thank you very much,  The "hospital delirium" is rapidly passing.  Unfortunately, the chronic heart failure is permanent and must be monitored a lot.  There is an irony that the heart failure limits my intake of fluid, but I am always thirsty and sipping iced tea or ice water.
