Not being in someone's
Not being in someone's thoughts at all is perhaps less painful than being an afterthought. We've all been there, but that doesn't make it any easier. A very identifiable feeling, precisely and skillfully expressed.
Although the pain here is palpable, the expression is essential. This poem was an act of release, of purification: a necessary step on the road to healing. God bless.
