I tip my hat to you and leave again

On the road that I know so well

I’m ready for another adventure

because I have another piece of my heart to sell



I reached a cross road

And didn’t know what to do

I felt the wind pull me one way

But somehow my heart knew



I had to go south

And cover my eyes

Without my curiosity

Everything in me dies



I just want to be held

And feel your warm touch

You know that I don’t trust you

But this won’t  hurt too much



Let’s jump in the water

And breath the fresh cool air

My morals may be dropping

But neither of us care



Take my hand and give me something

That I know I’ve always wanted

Tell me that you’ll save me

My dreams want to be flaunted



I know that you’ll hurt me

But I guess I’m used to those things

My strength is bordered with weakness

But that’s bordered by your wings



I sang under the stars

And felt them holler back

I now see things

That before I always lacked



It’s time to be courageous

I may die from deceit

But I will die trusting

because I learned from defeat
