Confused Passion

Folder:
slightly old poems

The glow of the moon dies

I feel the heat of the sun rise

The tide washed my dreams to shore

I’m burning in the sun’s core

I watch the fire hit your eyes

I’m searching for the invisible

But I feel it in the air

I think the cup’s half full

Or is it even there?

These vines are holding me down

When I wish to fly

Squares seem so round

And forever seems to die

My heart is black and blue

From loving so hard and fast

And now I wish I knew

My future from my past

I need to stop thinking now

It seems to make it complicated

It doesn’t matter why now

Or how my life is rated

Think too much and it will disappear

And become a memory

You looked right through the mirror

And you looked right past me

Your strength comes from weaknesses

You must fall to rise

The problem with my heart is

It beats for your eyes
