I want to speak to you and I must work up the nerve,

This fear of rejection I feel is absurd.

I send you a work question and you answer me quick,

Resolution is given in 5 words, you are now gone, I am sick.

I want you to linger to respond in a detailed way,

But you have moved on to other things in your busy day.

I’d give up these feelings if I knew how to do it,

I’m really in pain and I want to be through it.

I’d like it if you hung on like you would if you cared,

My want is now raw my feelings not spared.

I know that I am wrong to desire you so,

But this desire is upon me and it will not go.

I need help, to be convinced that you are less than a goddess

I only want to hear you speak; touch your hair and bodice.

To see you smile, and laugh and roll your eyes and dance,

Leaves me in awe, obsessed, and in a trance.

I cannot think, I cannot focus, it is you I wish to be near.
