The things you see in the subway, on the streets should you bother to open your eyes and look. The woman in her forties well dressed with styled hair…a professional. Smiling and laughing and talking with the twenty-something ‘thug’, huge head phones, puffy jacket, ass out of his jeans. Connection. The woman on the corner of Bathurst and Bloor begging for your change… no legs…no fingers…just words. The dirty looks I am given as I stir the milk and sugar into my coffee and place it in her hands. Rejection. The man with the harp in the hallowed halls left echoing of the Grey cup. A failed Yunge and Sheppard gamble… his pretty Irish side burns… well fitted black beret… kind yet closed smiled. The sound of my change. The things you see in humanity if you only care to look. Why do we always look away?

Because

sometimes it's difficult to face the reality of what we could be....and some people are too selfish to look any further than their selves.

It is

an unfortunate circumstance of reality.
