I wear you like a lower class house wife who knows you won’t do it again
And all the upper class men who visit
Walk the halls of my home
And think I am only after their riches
Cause everyone knows a leopard doesn’t change it’s spots
And an oppressed woman wants to be there

Author's Notes/Comments:

I myself love the title because for me it has so many layers and deeper meanings and it fits so many situations which came together to make this poem :)

yes you did very well to

yes you did very well to create this poem. I can see many references - I especially love the last two lines as youre stuck on someone and the saidomaschositic way we want our suffering. forgive me but I read it like cant have the one you want; have the things you want. the leopard reference did that well for me because it evokes rich furs and the whole poem suggest that a huge sacrifice has been made willingly. of course there are many other interpretations and applications all just as deep... this was just one. Fantastic mind! HugSS

A masterpiece!

I love that I had to read this several times for the full emotional impact to hit me. Each reading, another wave of despair, futility or insignificance hit me! This is so bleak but so subtle! Amazing writing!!!
