You know sometimes I actually forget
I have moments of peace
Of sanity
Moments where I am not broken
Not hurt
Damaged
Gone
Moments where you have never raped me
Never bullied me
Never wrapped your hands around my neck to kiss me
Sometimes I forget
But then
I drive down king towards the expressway
And wonder
‘Will I ever be able to drive by that cursed place of honeymoon
and NOT see you chasing me?’
