I saw you once as a man

Such a man that men became mere boys in your presence

But now you yourself are a child, lost in a forest, franticly searching for someone to guide you

I saw you once as a lover

Such a lover that all notion of love was a lie in your eyes

But now, you have become a player, taking up elaborate masks to please the audience before him

I saw you once as a friend

Such a friend that time stood still in the wake of our laughter

but now, you seem to be my enemy, conquering and destroying everything you worked hard to build

I saw you once as you

An embodiment of passion, desire and human parameters

But now, now you are just a body that once housed a man I loved
