Stranded

The sky and the sea have become my walls,

Sent from the heavens to cave in on me.

A red sky looms nigh – lightning strikes, rain falls,

Dark waves surge up and down unendingly,

And soon I shall die should no rescue lie in wait.

They claimed problems without a word to me,

Leaving me out of the decision of my fate –

I could not have foreseen their mutiny.

Round and round I wrack my brain for an explanation,

The cold water splashing me,

Expelled to the surf without slightest hesitation,

Blue everywhere I can see.

If they had come to me we could have banded

But their amusement was to leave me stranded.
