The Moment

The moon was bright and full and the stars danced against the darkness.



The air was cool and crisp while the crickets all sang in harmony.



I could feel my lovers warm breath against my neck.  His rythmic heartbeat rang in my ears.



His gentle touch sent chills to my very soul.  His sweet kiss lingered on my lips.



At that very moment, we both knew that it was more than one night...it was for eternity.

Author's Notes/Comments: 

This poem was inspired by my husband, Jake.  At the time, it was our very first date...but we both knew that we would spend the rest of our lives together.

Sometimes simple words can make good poems. It is really heart touching piece, especially these words: "At that very moment, we both knew that it was more than one night... it was for eternity". Thanks for sharing. salam..
