Into Chaos

I watch the innocent drops of rain
That are thrown at my window pane
Slowly they trickle, one by one
Unknowing of the damage done

We're thrown into chaos

Millions everyday

One by one we fall

This is the winding way

We can't catch what we haven't thrown
It's a disease the world has never known
Living through distrust and agony
Helplessness are you and me

The world drowns

While angels cry in torture

We're all fading away

Can anyone help us now?

We've lost our way from yesterday
It seems the clouds still go away
But when we look they come again
Things won't be what once they had been

Covered with white and drugged with poison
This wasn't the life I had chosen
Giving in to the shallow light
Forgive me to sleep one more night

Tears falling now in shame
All are lost without a name
But how are we the ones to blame?
We were lost in this wretched game

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is a poem about the world. Sometimes it seems to me that things just keep getting worse and worse and we can't fix it. I think about all the things that have happened and things that are still happening. The list goes on and on. But I do believe that God has a plan, I believe that he will help us through this. I am not a terribly religious person but I do believe He is our way out. I don't want to see the world or the lives we live getting any worse than they are. I want to be able to have a family in the future that I don't constantly have to worry about falling into chaos, so to speak. I try my best to hold onto my hope as much as possible.
