Your Worst Nightmare

Folder:
Poems About Anger

You can try and take what I hold dear
But what you don't know, you should fear
I am not who I seem to be
In the end, you will run from me
Sick and twisted are the ones alive
But I'll be the last of them to survive
The deadly ones will never eat my brains
I'm trying to get out all these blood stains
But never mind that, just remember your worst nightmare
You didn't know who it was, until you started to stare
The dark figure stalking towards you
It wasn't terror until you actually knew
Now you run at a faster pace
I can feel your heartbeat start to race
Did you expect to get away?
You'll keep running from yesterday
Save your breath, the time draws closer
You know it's all over
All the pain you put me through
It all comes back straight to you
All the lies, deceit, the games, the fun
Now you won't be the only one
I'm playing along, don't you see?
And you thought you could really trick me
This game is fun, I should have started long ago
But how could you ever know?
That one day soon the attack gives way
Keep running from it, it's gone today
Save your breath, you're last to none
I am truly the one who won

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is simply a poem that is purposely trying to scare someone. I wrote this because I was angry at someone who was very immature about something and this person was older than me! It makes me so mad when people say the wrong thing and I can't do anything to them to make them regret it other than talking. Sometimes I wish I could invade someone's dreams and scare them to the point where they don't mess with me anymore. I'm sure this is something we could all use once in a while.
