FEEL THIS WAY

God,take away my heart and mind,

So I can fit into this world.

I'd trade them both in just to be  a pretty,

Apathetic,happy girl.

And make me a brainless,mechanical fool.

What a monkey will see,

A monkey will do.

And keep me from having to love at all,

So I don't have to feel the pain it brings;

And let me just take eveything for granted,

And not appreciate anything.

And all these things,of you,I beg,

Cry,plead,and pray

Because I no longer want

To have to feel this way.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem expresses how hard it is to be "different",which is something I've had to experience most of my life.

To be unable to stop thinking, analysing, dreaming, loving so hard it hurts, seeing beauty all around but also being pained by others plights so very easily? Is that what you are writing about? Because if so...well I know exactly what you mean.
