A collapse in human trust
Destruction of wealth of nations
Greed and avarice
Arrival of a new day
This pursuit of self
The human race to a halt rent
Where is my beloved America
Land loved by people and nations
This speed of disintegration
The wealth of a nation
That woke up to a shock
The strike of the sons of squanders
The agents of their masters
The masters of deceit
With open mouth
The mouth of the old serpent
Has swallowed the wealth of a nation
And unwilling to cough out
The entire planet now harbors them
Recruiting more to the big club
This ancient cult of treachery
The flight of the human trust.
Poem is so true. It is much
worse in 2009. When will it
get better?
i love the line "recruiting more to the big club" Thats like america in a nutshell. mind you I don't live in America but the news, the cinema, pop culture and common sense have helped me get an idea of what america is like. Good job I like it, it flowed and its words wernt too big and old testament but they were in the radar of a certian inteligence. Try rhyming abit sometime because even though rhyme is a person's downfall sometimes it is a still a great voice of expression.
this is so very true and especially in today's times with economy and job market the way it is. The me,myself and I attitude I got mine screw you attitudes that exude today are such a sad state of affairs...
