And Suddenly

Suddenly, suddenly
When the world gets cold outside
And a darkness stirs inside
I wonder how I got here
I wonder where I am

And then I realize
In this thing I call my life
I only get one try
And suddenly, I know that I'm alive

When I think back to yester-years gone by
I sit alone and wonder why
I'm standing here tonight
What if I hadn't gone that way?
What if I'd changed my mind?
Would things still be the same?
Would I have lived a different life?

And then, I realize
In this thing that I call life
I only get one try
And suddenly, I know that I'm alive

It's like a country song playing over in my mind
About "Every stop light I didn't make"
And I wonder who I'd be
If I'd done things differently
But I am wasting too much time
Thinking of how the past could change

And then, I realize
In this thing that I call life
I only get one try
And suddenly, I know that I'm alive

And suddenly, the thoughts rise up inside
Were the things that I chose right?
Am I still wasting time?
Can I really call this life?

And then, I realize
In this thing I call my life
I'm still on my first try
And suddenly, I know I'm still alive
And suddenly, I know that I'm alive

So, simply put; said short and sweet
This is who I was meant to be
And dwelling on a memory
Is the past taking my life from me

And now, I realize
That this thing is my life
It only matters if I try
And suddenly, suddenly, I know that I'm alive

THIS is sooooo deep. It was

THIS is sooooo deep. It was very real for me. As i read it i was thinking back to each time in my lofe this happened to me. Those moments of realization when you think to yourself...things like... "this is my life, and no one is going to make it for me...i jave to do it myself".

Roc i loved this, and i would love to hear you sing this too.

...A lot of people will be able to relate to these words, i think.

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "

When faced with the choice

I can choose to stand above it, or let it push me down.
This one was the semblance of that teetering.
I'm glad you liked it. :)
