While running through this thing called life
And falling in the rhythmic tide
The liars fade the lovers fly
And this is what it’s like when hearts collide

A cataclysmic shot at an experience
With sinful, blissful countenance
An existential thought of resemblance
Leading to a life of blissful ignorance

To build on what the heart contrives
Echoed in two lovers’ eyes
To push the shadows from the light
This is what it’s like when hearts collide

One was down and all alone
The other fallen from his throne
A queen with no love of her own
And a king banished from his home
Neither does the other know
And neither feels the other’s woe
But change is moving, ever slow
And soon the river flows

To find someone in the world so wide
Who changes all you see inside
Makes you look up to the sky
Not screaming, but with hope to fly
This is what it’s like when hearts collide

This is how the story goes
With lovers finding love to know
And this is where the river flows
Into the falls of loving throes

And when the heartbeats start to rise
These lovers fall into the other’s life
To share and love and share their lives
