This is an act of creation
Not destruction
As the blood falls from my eyes

This is an act of fusion
Not dissection
As the blade slips deep inside

This is an exercise of trust
And not of lust
I do all that I must
It's just how I survive

This is an intrinsic notion
Not disregarded emotion
Through the subtle commotion
I feel the fire burning bright

This isn't simple physics
But more like karmic riddance
From admittal to forgiveness
As I fall from grace tonight

This isn't what it isn't
What it is really is it
And it showers all my senses
As it burns into my mind

This is not an ending
But more, a new beginning
As my reality is slipping
In the space between these lives

This is utter madness
Chaos soaked in sadness
From the things that always happen
While I weaken from the fight

This is existentialism
Just the life that we all live in
And we play the hands we're given
Just to feel like we're alive

This is just what it is
And it isn't what it isn't
But I wonder what it all meant
When it came into my sight

This is stranger than fiction
This life that I still live in
And the past, I can forget it
As I open up my eyes

This is just what it shouldn't be
A choice that has been made by me
To erase the world of everything
That grips me as it binds

This an act of creation
Not of destruction
As my resolved grows ever slight

This is an act of my forgiveness
For mistakes that I have bidden
While I stare into the sky
