A distance came too close

I wake from slumber
A burden on my mind
To go asunder
Or stay and live this life
I hold onto memories
Wondering what I could be
When I let it fade away
Suppressing my sympathies
I think about everything
That led me to this place
And as the sun lights up the sky
I start a brand new life
Far away from all the things
That kept me in misery
Today, I walked away
I move so far away
From everything I know
I leave out today
To find so room to grow
