Remnants Somewhere in that water, beneath the starlit sky
You and I are only ships passing in the night
Travelling in different directions
Barely noticing the tides
Shifting our reflections
As we swiftly pass each other by
It's an unfortunate realization, that I've come to recognize
That you and I will always be ships passing in the night
Chasing our paths through oceans
Never meeting in between
Lost to our own motions
As we drift along the sea
I see that I can't reach out to you for light
Because we will always just be ships passing in the night
...
My ship was pirated.
And my sails were cut.
The rudder was broken.
And I fell on my butt.
I saw your ship,
Passed by in the night.
I couldn't yell out,
With my throat under knife.
Dang pirates!!
