Since the day I left,

I've cried an ocean of tears

and laughed a river of laughs

but since I've left my haeart has stayed

in your keeping.



Since I've left,

I've watched my friends

share their hearts

and make plans

while I've stayed stoic,

and strong on my own.



Since I've left

you have shared your heart,

not knowing you already had mine.

But one night my stoicism broke,

and I told you

how much I truly loved you.



Since I've left,

I've grown up.

Left behind my princess phase

and walked a path not seen

into a me you'd never know.



And since I've left

you have broken my heart

but you had the patience

to piece its million pieces back together;

made me fall for you again,

all, since I've left.
