My dad's shot glasses collection

My father’s shot glasses collection.
My father has a huge collection of shot glasses; the interesting part is that he doesn’t like to drink in shot glasses; he started the collection some years ago when a friend brought him one from Australia so he thought that shot glasses the best item to collect because they are small, they exist in every part of the world and they don’t occupy a lot of space in the house. This collection it is standing next to the kitchen in a pretty showcase near the entrance, in a place where everyone who enters the house can see it. The most exciting part of this collection is when friends see it and say “Oh my God! Are those shot glasses” and I just say “Yes, they are from all around the world”. From Paris, New York, Tokyo, even Russia, every friend of my father knows that he collects them so that’s why he has so many. There are more than two hundred glasses. Every familiar, friend, uncle, aunt, cousin, nephew, have made the impossible to get him a shot glass. Also they have made the impossible to drink with these glasses, my father loves them, so if someone asks for glasses to drink, there’s no way that’s going to happen you have to be a very close friend of his. When I ask if I could use them he says “I’m not going to drink with you with these glasses because I’m worried… that you might break them!” I’d rather think that he was worried about me instead of the shot glasses. Sometimes you could see my dad carefully cleaning or accommodating his collection making proof that he cares about it. This collection is growing year by year as we all do and at the time by making this write I realized that I have never gave him a shot glass and it makes me sad, because for me it is hard to say “ I love you, dad.” And I have heard once coming from him that ‘’actions speak louder than words’’ so it means that he is the kind of person who acts and I look up to him and I’m noticing right now that how great would it be to say to my dad that I love him by being part of his huge collection of shot glasses year by year, everywhere I go with a tiny piece of the world. So I guess I would have to travel a lot.
