holding too much light
finding divine in the ordinary
a poet its ghostly guide
whose poems invite
listening, slowness, awe
/ sidestepping judgement.
division and violence misread
or hijacked or weaponised
starkly exemplified
from dialogue to rupture
poetry matters, why?
it's because it holds space
for what's fragile
luminous and human things
/ that slurs and dogma
can't ever hope to extinguish
