Forgiveness

Folder:
Life Lessons

We often hear that we need to forgive others,

That forgiveness is or part of the path to salvation.

I say that first forgive yourself,

Forgive who you are for everything,

for the time you were foolish,

the time you yelled when it wasn’t needed,

when you bought that item and could not afford to,

and most importantly for the time when you beat yourself up

when you did those things.

the greatest sorrow I know and see in mankind,

is when we punish ourselves for not succeeding.

Hold yourself with compassion.

Find a moment of peace,

feel your heart,

sense it and give it space.

To bring forgiveness to your heart this is all that is needed.

Do no judge or alter it.

Forgiving yourself will bring about a greater sense of

compassion for others.

Excuse my little rant, but

Excuse my little rant, but I'm just tired of people who think they are better or different and that there are 'good' people who never do anything wrong, and 'bad' people who do everything wrong. It's responsible for why there are so many horrible atrocities in the world if you ask me.

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "

If a man doesn't have a mind

If a man doesn't have a mind of his own,

He needs not a woman, he needs a mother,

And furthurmore, dear, forgiveness is a daily prayer,

No one needs to forgive for anyone, if they are already there.

Fantastic poem. To ask forgiveness is not something you ask another person, but something you live....daily. Day in, day out. Love means never having to say you're sorry. Sorry is a formality...not a magic word. My thoughts. Could mean a croc to you, and i would be able to respect that just the same, but I just wanted to give my 2 cents worth.

The only forgiveness really is self forgiveness. I do believe that. It's of course nice to hear the flowery words...but they really mean nothing without a change. It can't always be the same person---it always takes two and there needs to be some in person connection, not just a bunch of nonsense someone tells you is some magic spell to make things all better. There should be some sort of insight into self that is shared between parties.Too much of that seen in todays tech world.

But I liked it!

Kudos!!
