"a hoodrat"

Folder:
Life Poems

a hoodrat is still a woman

just lost and abused

doesn't deserved to be used

there life can be rearranged

don't throw then away like lose change

they need a mans support

not a group of sex hungry cohorts

god won't turn his back

are you better than him

This reminds me of 'Amrapali,' an exceptional beauty who was not allowed to marry a man. Because of her beauty the men who attended her 'Swambarsabha' hoping for her hand made the single plan to enjoy her. Her father had actually found her as a baby abandoned in the mangoe orchard. During marriage ceremony the name of the father is very important; This fact got leaked somehow and thus this audacious decision was taken unanimously.

Swambarsabha: In ancient India the father would invite eligable young men to a party. His daughter along with her friends would then go around, garland in hand to choose on her own, the right man as her husband. She would garland him and a wonderful marriage ceremony would follow.
