Leave me silent-as I crack open a long neglected door

Leave me silent-as I sit down upon the cold hard floor

Leave me silent-while I search through dust for, a memory

Leave me silent-as I find what is left of you and me,



Leave me silent-as my arms reach out to but embrace

Leave me Silent-as my heart aches within this place

Leave me silent-as my tears fall upon the ground

Leave me silent-my ragged breath the only sound,



Leave me silent-as hope takes seed within my soul

Leave me silent-because I know that I must let you go

Leave me silent-while I raise myself to stand

Leave me silent-in my final reminiscince of a man,



Leave me silent-as I turn to walk away

Leave me silent-the smile you gave to me will stay

Leave me silent-vowing to believe in love forever more

Leave me silent-as I close but do not lock this lonely door.

Author's Notes/Comments: 

I was talking to a good friend named Earl,,he told me how he was feeling after his recent break-up,,afterward I was inspired to write this for him,,putting myself in his place,,imagining the pain and loss akin to times in my life I wrote this.......Love,,,,,to but only feel that for a moment you stood at the brink of it,,is enough incentive to keep on... believing that it is there,,waiting,,somewhere,,,inside you,,...

I LOVE THIS POEM!

This is one of the most common feelings of the human race in my opinion. We want to be left silent when we are in the biggest trenches. The feeling i get as I read this was confused. Confused about what you want, but you know you want time to figure it out yourself. But personally, i feel this way - leave me silent - and I leave the world, but what I want most is someone there for comfort, even when I ask to be alone. As a High Schooler, i feel this almost every day. But i usually can't put my feeling into words.

Your visulazation skills in this beautifully written poem is so so so intense. The repeating of Leave me silent is so so poetically inspiring for it brings the reader to a higher level of beauty everytime it is repeated.
