Sweet Ginger-Blue

We met at the cancer wards when we where just 24

We learned so much from the fight each passing night

Until remission came and so did wedding dishes

But time always plays that game of luck when you have so many a happy brush

You turned me good

You turned me new

You where here

But now my memory

My memory My memories

of you have become blue

Memories of you tattooed across my heart and upon my mind

Thinking of you like the first time we pined

I’ll never know someone quite as special as you

I’ll never be quit enamored by someone so true

You turned me good

You turned me new

You where here

But now my memory

My memory My memories

of you have become blue

Turn to me

Turn so true

Sweet Ginger-Blue

You knew me, I knew you

So short a time

briefly we had it good

But why did it tragically undo

You left me here but I couldn’t go with you

I don’t know how to mourn

Will you show me one more

Turn to me

I’ll turn to you

Golden memories that’s all of you

Now that’s all I have from you

As you were, as I always knew

You are now so far but always close to heart

You where here but now your gone

I am still near but so very far

I am now old and you still young

Pain so great the only remedy is tragedy

You turned me good

You turned me new

You where here

But now my memory

My memory My memories

of you have become blue

Please one last time take my hand, take my heart, and take my mind

Spread your wings and fly me to the stars

For you’ll always be,

You’ll always be with me

I sit in this dark room talking to you

Smell your pillow, feel your kisses

Memories hidden so deep inside

Only to surface when I close my eyes

Why does life build us up just to tear it down,

It turns it all up-side-down and all around,

my sweet Ginger-Blue?

You turned me good

You turned me new

You where here

But now my memory

My memory My memories

of you have become blue

Prior to the fall life used to soar

Rainbows in the sky

Now there’s just dead flowers on the floor

Yet for stolen years I’ve seen you so

And finally we are now together for nether more to grow

You turned me good

You turned me new

You where here

But now my memory

My memory My memories

of you have become blue

Turn to me

Turn so true

Sweet Ginger-Blue

You knew me, I knew you

So short a time

We briefly had it good

But why did it tragically undo

Sweet so sweet Ginger-Blue
