Antique refrigerator

I purchased a refrigerator and I regret the one that I got.

It was an antique and it was something I shouldn't have bought.

My daughter got in the refrigerator and she got trapped inside.

She couldn't get out even though she must have tried.

The pain eats me up and life will never again be the same.

My daughter is dead and I'm the one to blame.

When she was trying to get out, I wish I would've heard her.

It was an accident but it feels like I committed murder.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is a fictional poem but sadly many children really have been killed by old refrigerators.
