Devil Went Down On Oklahoma

Rewrite of the famous and great song, Devil Went Down To Georgia

The devil went down on Oklahoma

He was looking for a way

To recapture his soul's lost zeal

So went forth with a fury and a greed blind

He made the winds howl and toss

Fro and behind

Whatever it took

To recapture that ole feeling of zeal

Did't matter who he took

Woman, man or child

He did't give a damn

If the whole town was laid to rot

And so the devil uprooted an ole hickory stump

Dropped it on home and business alike

Like it was hot

Little did the devil know it

But he had done crossed the wrong ones

Ooh it's true

When he hit that innocent school

Went where he should never did dare

Now devil they're all gonna come after you

Devil went to cryin' and pleadin'

Even played them his best fiddle

But to no avail

It was time

High past time

Devil got his due

Played a wicked game that lost an innocent life

Now devil they're all comin' to get you

So it was done and said

For every lost little Janie and Johnny

An eye for an eye

Tooth for a tooth

Uncaring if it was a sin

The people laid down their bet

Without an ounce of remorse or regret

Gave Ole Red the worst beatin' that's ever been

Moore rose up

To no demon wind would they bow

Beat that Satan hard

Till all hell broke loose in Oklahoma

Dealt that devil a poison set of cards

And when they did win

No more did that hater's smile roll gold

Devil knew for sure

He has lost

The last of his sad man's soul

Devil caught a case

When he tried to rewrite

Mankind's reality show

Fire and hell's winds blew

From his fingertips

But that town would't bow

Rose up instead in a firey hiss

Young and old

Those forces joined in

And sounded something like this....

Devil was finished

No doubt

When his wrath robbed parents of beloved sons and daughters

The people took Ole Red

Shoved him into a chair

Showed him just how human justice is done

Fired up a mountain

When that torando came

Tried to make blood run, run

Caught the devil laughing in the rising sun

Knocked him upside his pan

Baked him into a dough

Vengence he found had quite a bite

Oh, child,  oh

To no devil's hand would they bow

Would't ever admit no defeat

And at the graves of all those little feet

Piece by piece

They laid him out

Said "Children, that devil won't ever be back now."

To try again

Cause we only had to catch him once

To show that son of a bitch

Moore is the very best

Suffering not in vein

Our town will rise again

And now forever the song plays...

Fired up a mountain

When that torando came

Tried to make blood run, run

Caught the devil laughing in the rising sun

Knocked him upside his pan

Baked him into a dough

Vengence he found had quite a bite

Oh, child,  oh
