Gone Girl

She stands with her back to the sea
No calm waters but a raging tsunami
The wave touches the sky
But it stands frozen in time, why?
She sees it's reflection in his eyes
He speaks of love, but it's only lies
She knows he'll let go and the wave will fall
It'll crash down onto her, this was only a stall
She waits knowing there will be pain
She kisses him knowing there's nothing to gain
But heartache, distrust and agony
She knows and waits anxiously
He'll let her go and time will move on
She'll get over him. Going, going, gone.
