Sandcastle.

I felt the warmth beneath my feet,

Looking back along the sand,

Little footprints, oh, how sweet,

Walking with you, hand in hand,

Walking in the little waves,

I saw a castle standing tall,

The little thing a child made,

Just left there to crumble and fall,

You walked away, leaving me alone,

To watch the waters begin to rise,

Watching the fading little home,

Looking at those clouded skies,

You were just a memory of past,

But everything else was very real,

I allow the tear to roll away fast,

Kissing it away, a little seal,

Looking down, I see the castle fall,

A once proud image gone like the breeze,

Just like my memory of you, my one, my all,

I break down and cry, upon my knees.
