shattered minds, scarred bodies

Folder:
primitive

how can i possibly speak of such things

so relentlessly, so carelessly?

they are all real now

not just a fairy story in the back of my mind's eye

real.

i can see them.

all around me

they crowd in from all ends of the earth

these hateful things

these horrible, damaging things

they are as dense in this earth, as the sea

if only there was a healing antidote

for all of their broken hearts

all of their scarred bodies

shattered minds.

only He can fix what is ripped

close the wounds

how can this world blame God for everything wrong

when we take him out of all that could be right

with his help.

A beautiful poem.. may we reduce the suffering
we cause by not eating His creatures... He
threw the butchers out of the temple

Beautiful. You know shattered is one of my favorite words.
