Our World So Beautiful

Our world so beautiful and full of life,
Yet also with division, hate and strife.
We battle through briars and every slope,
Traversing our days in search of hope.

So seldom that two paths might chance
Wherein the partners meet in dance
And converse with glee the days and nights
Of future dreams and past delights.

Then matters of heart and mind and soul
Intrude upon and take their toll
Of all that we hold true and dear
To chip away the lowest tier.

So now the decision must be made.
Darkness and light now must be weighed.
Does one choice condemn the other to hell,
Or can the two in harmony dwell?
