the stone clown

Trying to laugh at something said

Instead, the sound that comes out

Is not one normally heard, in times,

One finds in happiness, in the warmth

Adorned in grey, or black rags,

In fact, it's impossible to smile,

Dying to break down instead,

Lead and brick the only clouds,

And sobs are the only sounds

here now.
