justification of war

many praise the protestations of war

many condemn the protestors to war

many have fought and died

many have come home alive

many survivors still fight their private war

abuse themselves, families,friends and more

what is the justification of war?

if one can live ...

                               nevermore

forgive the ignorance therefore

of those who have not witnessed war

allow them the priveledge of the floor

pray for peace...

                                evermore

what is the justification of war?

Well that poem has touched my heart – I am not sure if the reason is because I am an antiwar myself. In the other hand, I have to agree with you, we live a daily war but could we make less bloody. Great work & spirit. Cheers.

Hello, Justification of War??? As a veteran of WW2 I find this more difficult to answer as the years pass. I joined the military in 1938 full of a young man's idea of chivelary and of benefit to mankind, since that time somewhere in the world wars have been carried out.Was all that sacrifice simply wasted,? Sometimes I dispair of human beings. Best as ever, David.L.

Dear Linda A poem that made me think again... Yes, I lived most of my life with war and it is hard for other people to understand what it is. A nostalgic poem Regards Donkerman
