Frolicking In Poetryland

                 transcend the

                   realm of reality

                a place where beauty

                        hides

                        where

                       the sun

                    moon and stars

                  meet each morn and

                        night

                        where

                     life dreams

                 'til time arrives

                from its deep unending

                        sleep

                        from

                      the lush

                    green of the

               ground to the tallest

                        trees

                        stretch

                       upward to

                   the heavens above

                  greeting a new days

                        affair

                        pastel

                   rainbows spread

                across earths canvas

                dressed for the many

                       admirers

                       blended

                   fragrances drift

                    through the air

               teasing all within its

                       range

                       images

                     of children

                laughing and playing

              knowing no boundaries nor

                       prejudices

                       an

                    alarm in

                 my brain wakens

                i've returned to

                    reality

Nice thoughts in this dreamy place, poetryland. Reminds me of our own Tim Marshall, lol... Thanks for posting, Linda. It is a lovely poem.

This poem's title caught my eyes...and my, i am glad to have read it.. Your clipped free lines have a sense of direction in them...especially in the middle. It is as if momentum is building up over there. Enjoyable..and evoking. Smilesz.

ooh... poetry allows one to be creative. it can be anything you want it to be or you can express in words, reality from any perspective. you seem to have a very pleasant perspective of most things. moons, stars, flowers, fragrances... everything is lovely! may your life be filled with the beautiful things in this poem. =D
