Foolhearted Love

Foolhearted love

Ain’t worth a dime of time

But it’s just enough

For a lonesome heart

We dig floppy garlic pizzas

with cherry cola in glass bottles

Wearing sunglasses in the rain

and lookin’ in a dirty windowpane

Foolhearted love

Ain’t worth a dime of time

But it’s just enough

For a lonesome heart

We steal rides on a carousel duck

just to press our fleeting luck

Fishing pennies from a wishing well

and throw them back to cast a spell

Foolhearted love

Ain’t worth a dime of time

But it’s just enough

For a lonesome heart
