Comets and Shooting Stars (The Loss of a Brilliant Sister)

Folder:
Gone too Soon

Bright and beautiful and gone entirely too soon

Losing you consumes me...

I look into her eyes and cant help but to wonder

what could or should be

A brilliant spark

that on some of my hardest nights...

Illuminated the dark.

My comet, My shooting star...

Your love for me was pure

One of the very few that left no scars.

My sister.

No bloodline connected

but you treated me like family

despite what was suggested.

"You're not crazy, you're just an artist."

Your words ring clear

In that singsong tone that I'll never again hear

All black in the middle of the night the three of us acting a fool

We never thought in a million years we'd lose you

Why'd it have to be so soon?

Did we take you for granted?

Did I forget to say I cared?

Did you forget that we love you?

Did you forget the times we shared?

Brilliant and beautiful but...

if I blinked I would have missed her

Gone too soon, My Shooting Star

My love...

My little big Sister.

Quite Beautiful, I am sorry

Quite Beautiful,

I am sorry for your loss, but this piece pays homage to what sounds like a precious friend.

Good work and keep it up!

by the way thanks for the add
